2009 Event Schedule

The 2009 St. Thomas Dragway Racing Schedule has been released and is available for viewing on the website. Notable additions to the schedule include the ‘Diamond Days’ July 11 & 12. Sponsored by Henry Roffelsen of Roffelsen Jeweller’s in Chatham the event will feature the return of the wild PMRA Pro Mods and the newly created Quick 32 Sportsman Series as well as the TNT Super Series. Full brackets will be contested both days with the winners of Saturday’s Top and Mod running off for a diamond ring. The WISECO Hot Rod Reunion, July 25 & 26, will feature 1974 and older vehicles only and will introduce the Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Cars making their first Canadian appearance.

OSCA will be returning June 13 & 14 with the wild street cars qualifying Saturday night under the lights. The CSCS Sport Compacts will run On September 13. The NHRA King of the Track will run August 29 and 30 and the NHRA National Dragster Challenge will return June 20 & 21. The Turkey Nationals, one of the largest races of the season, will be held on the Thanksgiving Day weekend October 10 & 11. In addition many club events will be held throughout the season along with the Performance Unlimited Friday night Street Legal races and Saturday night’s Run What Ya Brung.
